THE PROJECT
When common sugar is brought to 186 degrees Celsius or above, it melts. This project explores that very well-known characteristic of common sugar. A virtually uneventful ingredient from an artistic perspective, such as table sugar, can therefore be turned into mesmerising shapes.
There is also a parallel with the human condition: warm people at the "right temperature" and they will turn into something completely different.
